We only collect the information we need to look after your booking and your visit, and we never sell it. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Momo Restaurant, 47 Patrick Street, Waterford, X91 DX49, Ireland, is responsible for the personal information described on this page.

What we collect and why
Table bookings. Online bookings are made through OpenTable. When you book, OpenTable collects your name, phone number, email address, the date, time and size of your booking, and any notes you add, and shares them with us so we can hold your table. We use them only to manage your booking and to contact you about it. OpenTable's own use of your details is covered by OpenTable's privacy policy.
Phone calls and emails. If you call or email us, we use what you tell us to answer you, take your booking or arrange your event.
Gift vouchers. Vouchers are sold through Loylap, which handles your payment and details under its own privacy policy.
This website. The website doesn't ask for your personal information and doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. Like any website, our hosting company's servers record technical details such as your IP address and browser, for security, and keep them for a short time. Some pages show content from other companies, such as the booking form and the map: see our cookie policy.
Social media. If you message us on Facebook or Instagram, those platforms' own privacy policies apply too.
Under the GDPR, we rely on these legal grounds: managing your booking (a contract with you), answering your questions and running the restaurant (our legitimate interests), and meeting our legal duties, such as keeping financial records.
Allergies and dietary needs
If you tell us about an allergy or dietary need, we use it only to prepare your food safely, and share it only with the staff cooking for you and serving you. Because this is health information, we only use it with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the companies that help us run the restaurant (OpenTable for bookings, Loylap for vouchers and our website host), with our accountants, and with the authorities when the law requires it. We never sell your information or use it for anyone else's marketing.
Some of these companies may store information outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they protect it with safeguards approved under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep booking details only for as long as we need them to manage your booking and keep accurate records, and we delete emails when we no longer need them. Financial records are kept for as long as Irish law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or stop using it. You can also ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere. Email kamila@momorestaurant.ie and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes to this policy
If the way we use your information changes, we'll update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
